The history begins in 7,500 BC when the most ancient civilization was established in "Catal Hoyuk". Let's recall some facts, names and moments in time between 5,000 BC and 300 AD. - stone age, copper age, bronze age, Hittite Empire, Trojan Wars, King Midas, the Hellenistic Civilization, Alexander the Great, Pergamund....

330 DC - From the Great palace the Emperor Constantin the Great makes Constantinople the most powerful city in the Roman Empire.
527-65 DC - The great Byzantine Emperor Justinian built the Saint Sophia Church, which was the biggest church in the world.
570 DC - Mohammed the Prophet was born - revelation of the Koran.
1037-1109 In Iran Turkish Seljuk Empire was in power.

1071-1243 In the Konya reign the SeljuK Rum Sultan ruled. In this important religious city Celaleddin Rumi (Mevlana), the founder of the Dervish sect lived and worked.
1288 - The Ottoman Empire was born in Bursa.
1453 - Conquer of Constantinople by Mehmet II.

1520-66 Reign of Sultan Suleyman - the magnificent, the golden era of the Ottoman Empire. Most of North Africa, east Europe and all the Middle East were under the control of the Ottomans from Istanbul.
1876-1909 Reign of Sultan Abdulhamid. He was the last of the powerful sultans.
1923 - The Turkish Republic is founded by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
1938 - Death of Ataturk.
